Berapit Hill & Tokun Tea Spa


为了Kota Kinabalu 山之行, 我几乎每个星期都到Tokun山报到。
得知Berapit 也有登山步道,就决定转换训练地点看看, 来点变化。

Been hiking weekly at Tokun Hill to train for my upcoming Mount Kota Kinabalu trip.
Looking for a change, 
I got to know there's another place to hike around Bukit Mertajam - Berapit Hill. 
So few weeks ago, I went hiking there instead.



Bukit Berapit 比较冷门。
从大山脚镇经过日新小学再一直开, 留意右边有个大巴刹和小贩中心。
右转进小贩中心前的路口就是Taman Pearl, 继续往山边开就是了。

Bukit Berapit is more secluded compare to Tokun. 
Coming from Bukit Mertajam town heading towards Jit Sin Primary school,
pay attention to your right where you'll notice a wet market and hawker centre.
Turn into the junction before the hawker centre into Taman Pearl.
Continue to drive towards the hillside.




比起Tokun, Berapit 确实比较有难度。
它的坡度很陡, 而且树林比较茂密, 所以蚊子又大又猖狂。
尽管喷了很多防蚊液, 我还是被叮得很苦  >o<

再来就是附近很多果园所以养了很多狗,要当心不要踩到粪便。
还要小心狗狗, 虽然这次登山我们都相安无事, 可是最好还是结伴同行啦~

The path is much steeper compare to Tokun. 
Though the distance is not as long, we had a tough time hiking up.
Also be warned that there are lots of mosquitoes and dogs too. So, do come prepared.





走了一段会遇到分叉口,
一边去禅修精舍,另一边去静修园。禅修精舍比较靠近。
既然是去训练的, 我们理所当然选择了较远的静修园。
从分叉口到静修园大概用了1小时。

辛苦是值得的, 沿途有一段路可以俯瞰整个大山脚, 
我在这里住了那么多年都不曾这么清楚地看过它呢!!

After some hike, there will be a branch.
One heads to "Vivekavana solitude grove" while the other to a temple. 
The path to temple is shorter, so we choose Vivekavana which took us another hour.
The walk was totally worth it. 
You get to take in the whole view of Bukit Mertajam at one of the points along the way.





终点站 静修园更是让我惊叹。
就好像戏里看到的场景, 世外高人修炼的深山,
我惊奇的第一次发现大山脚竟然有这样的地方。
细细地逛了一圈后才舍得下山。

At the end of the path is Vivekavana solitude grove. 
It's just like those scenes from a movie where mysterious people live in solitude.
I'm totally fascinated by the thought that such place exists here in BM.



 



为了慰劳自己, 特地兜到Tokun 的森林茶坊
点了自己搭配的爬山套餐:茶叶蛋, 白果木耳汤和炒面条。
健康, 有饱足感又不油腻
真是大满足!~

After thoroughly exploring the grove we set off for my favourite after hike spot
- Tokun Tea Spa.
Herbal tea egg, fungi soup and simple fried noodles~ my personalize after hike meal. 
Healthy and satisfying. The best way to end a hike ~ :D
